The Kitagata Lake, part of the Echizen-Kaga Kaigan Quasi-National Park, has been designated by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment as one of the “500 Important Wetlands in Japan” and as a “Satochi-Satoyama Area Important for Biodiversity Conservation.” Its stunning scenery has also gained popularity as a photo spot.

Additionally, the lakeside Iris Garden boasts approximately 200,000 irises of around 300 varieties, blooming in full glory for about a 2 weeks starting in early June.

This time, we will conduct environmental conservation activities centered around a litter-picking event along the lakeshore.
