“Making Gunma Beautiful with Green Tea.”

Lake Haruna is known as one of Gunma Prefecture’s most popular tourist destinations, where visitors can enjoy the beautiful seasonal landscapes and nature throughout the year.

In response to one of the pressing environmental issues—plastic waste causing marine pollution—a plan has been established in Gunma Prefecture to achieve zero waste by 2050, even though the region is landlocked, by preventing waste from flowing into the rivers.

Litter around the shores of Lake Haruna is one of the challenges in this effort. This time, we conducted a cleanup activity around Lake Haruna to help preserve its beautiful scenery, which represents the natural beauty of Gunma Prefecture.
