“Making Hokkaido Beautiful with Green Tea.”

To preserve the beautiful ocean, we conducted a cleanup activity at Biwase Coast, located along the Kiritappu Wetland in Hamanaka Town, Hokkaido, which has been selected as a Hokkaido Heritage Site. This activity involved picking up trash and other cleaning efforts in the surrounding area.

The Kiritappu Wetland is recognized as an internationally important wetland under the Ramsar Convention and is one of Hokkaido’s most precious natural landmarks. Cleaning Biwase Coast not only helps preserve the ocean but also protects the Kiritappu Wetland, where seawater flows in during high tide.

Through this cleanup activity, we rediscovered the beauty of the ocean and shared the importance of protecting the natural environment.
