Now Accepting Applications NagasakiConservation Activities for the Miyama Kirishima
The Miyama Kirishima, a type of azalea native to Unzen-Amakusa National Park, blooms with beautiful pink, white, and purple flowers and is a symbol of the natural beauty of the Unzen region. However, the populations of this valuable plant have been decreasing each year, making its preservation an urgent priority.
We are working on environmental conservation activities to protect the Miyama Kirishima’s populations in collaboration with local residents, government authorities, and NGOs.
