“Grass Cutting and Cleaning Activities at the ‘Kami-Aikawa District’ of the ‘Sado Gold and Silver Mines’ a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.”

“The Sado Gold and Silver Mines are home to numerous historical remnants that tell the long story of operations from the Edo period to the Meiji era, and finally to the cessation of activities in the Heisei era. These remnants blend harmoniously into the rich natural surroundings.

Would you like to participate in environmental beautification activities to help preserve this historic ‘World Heritage Island, a beautiful island’?

Let’s learn about its history and value together as we carry out these activities.”

Terms of Application

・Participation is available for individuals aged junior high school and above.
・The maximum number of participants are set. If the number of applicants is over the capacity, the participants will be selected by lottery. The details of the activities will be announced to the winners.
・The event may be canceled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
・Participants are responsible for their own transportation expenses to and from the meeting point.
